I was deeply saddened to just learn of Brenda's passing. I got to know Brenda through the Mansfield Summer Field Hockey League. She was a great teammate and player and had such a love for the game!!!! But as much as she loved field hockey- I take with me how much she LOVED and CARED about her two daughters and her husband!!! Brenda was a beautiful person, full of life and so much fun to be around. I pray for all of you during this difficult time, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

To all of Brenda's loving family:
I cannot express how sorry I am for the passing of Brenda. She was one of the nicest and friendliest people that I ever knew. She is someone that I can honestly say I enjoyed ever since we met in 1975. She will be so sadly missed by me and many others. I hold a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Brenda for the fight that she fought. When she was in the middle of her battle, and still working, she came to the DQ to see why I didn't show up for a counseling session that we had set up-even though she didn't have to. That is how Brenda was. She said she could have called me, but wanted to see that I was o.k. I was, and still am, but will miss having Brenda in this world. Again, Jeff and I send our most sincere condolences.

We are very sorry for the loss of your wife. In case if you don't remember us, we were in your science class this year. We all missed you on the last couple of days and we all prayed that your wife would be alright. God Bless you and your family, and we wish you the best. Hopefully we will visit you in the future.

I worked with Brenda at NorthEast Health Services in Middleboro and especially appreciated her warmth, her sense of humor, her high energy level, and her Girl Scout cookies. I have no doubt that she bravely fought to the end of her struggle. May her memory be a blessing to you, always.

Benson and Redpath Families,
I am very sorry to hear of Brenda's passing. I was also a childhood friend of Brenda and remember the sleepovers and pool parties fondly. Brenda was a wonderfully happy and fun person and the laughs we had all through school years will always warm my heart. I will keep you all in my thoughts and my prayers.

Brenda was a referee for my high school field hockey team. After high school graduation, Brenda encouraged me to continue playing. I was able to enjoy many indoor and outdoor field hockey games with Brenda. Her love of the game truly inspired me, and I carry that where ever I go. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Scott--I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Brenda. I was fortunate to have had the chance to know her on a professional level and she was a kind, caring, and compassionate person. I also know from talking with her, that her family was most important to her. Please know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time and I hope that the comfort of family and friends can bring you, the girls, and Brenda's family some strength. I am so sorry that I won't be able to be at the service since I am out of town, but I will certainly be thinking of you.

To the Benson and Redpath families,
I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Brenda in high school and considered her a friend. Very smart, very funny but mostly just a pleasant and positive person to be around. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, even if it had been a long time since they've seen her. God bless you all.

Brenda always was and will always be a person that others can aspire to be.
She is one of those people that touch so many lives with such little effort. My friendship with her has stayed with me through all of my life.
I give my deepest of sympathies to her family, may her spirit live within each and everyone of you.

I knew Brenda through field hockey. When I was still coaching, she always was quick to help us out with officiating for our preseason games and then we would often see her on the fields during the regular season. She was special and it saddens me deeply to think that she has been taken from the world at such a young age. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to all her family.
Sincerely,
Joan Casabian

To Brenda's Family,
May you find comfort in your memories of your daughter, wife, mother, and friend.
I knew Brenda in High School, she was my field hockey captain. She was a spitfire then, as I'm sure she was in the battle of cancer.
May you rest in eternal peace, Brenda.
