Sally Thibeault Obituary

Brockton Sally A. (Hannon) Thibeault, 77 years, of Brockton, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife for 53 years of the late Thomas G. Thibeault, retired Brockton police. Sally was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Conefrey) Hannon and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a 1948 graduate of Brockton High School. In 1998, she retired as an energy auditor for Aris Energy. Prior to raising her family, she was a secretary at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Brockton. She was a member of Irelands Own, the City Democratic Committee and a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church, where she served on the 75th Anniversary Committee. Sally enjoyed bowling with the Police Wifes League and worldwide travel. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, the Red Sox, but most importantly, time spent with her family. She was the mother of Thomas G. Thibeault Jr. and his wife Stacey of South Easton, Mark Thibeault of Brockton, Barbara Austin and her husband Jay of Middleboro, Susan Finlayson and her husband Donald of Middleboro, Brian Thibeault of Brockton and the late Michael Thibeault and his widow Patti; grandmother of 11. She was the sister of Grace Holster of Brockton, James Hannon of West Bridgewater and the late Marion McGrath, Patricia Spillane and Jean Studenski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Thursday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Donations in memory of Sally may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., No. 301, Brockton, MA 02301. Dear Family,
Just arrived home from out of town to learn that Aunt Sally had died. I am so sorry to hear that. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. I have great memories of our visits to your Mom and Dad's home, enjoying the pool, food and family.
