Joseph Riordan Obituary

South Dennis Joseph Daniel Riordan, age 57, of South Dennis, died at his home, Sunday, July 13, 2008, with his family at his side. Born in Brockton, he was a 1968 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Salem State College. He was a U. S. Naval veteran, serving with the Atlantic Fleet. He and his family moved to South Dennis from Brockton in 1992. He was the owner and operator of Joe Riordan Swimming Pool Co. He enjoyed playing golf and liked the New England area sports teams. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sheila (Kelliher) Riordan. He also leaves three sons, Joseph P., Daniel C. and Michael T. Riordan, all of Dennis. He was the brother of Kevin Riordan of Raynham and Patricia OBrien of Brockton. A Mass will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church, South Yarmouth, at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008. Friends may call at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, Wednesday, July 16, 2008, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Mr. Riordan,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
