Richard Gorgone Obituary

University Place, Wash. Richard J. "Dickey" Gorgone, age 67, died June 30, 2008, in University Place, Wash. He was a son of the late Joseph and Ruth Gorgone of Brockton, Mass.; and the brother of the late William G. Gorgone of Randolph, Mass. Dickey was born in Brockton and raised and educated in Randolph. He married Barbara Walsh of West Roxbury, Mass., and moved to Brockton where they raised their family. The family moved to Washington State, where Dickey accepted a position with the Caritas Christi Good Samaritan Hospital and later retired from same. Dickey was in love with his grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Tony, Katie and Sophia. He is greatly missed by his children, Barbara Ellen Oliver, Richard J. Gorgone Jr. and Rebecca Jean Gorgone; and surviving sisters, Rosalie Therrien, Ruth Gibney and Nancy Cyrus, all of Brockton. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 211 North Main St., Randolph, Friday, July 25, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery to follow.
