Ambrose Nagle Obituary

Brockton Ambrose J. Nagle, 93 years, lifelong resident of Brockton, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Louise (Ahearn) Nagle; and son of the late Richard J. and Margaret (Cody) Nagle. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1933 and also studied at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Mr. Nagle was employed at the Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway as a bus mechanic and at the Brockton Edison as a fireman. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling in the United States, Canada, Ireland and England. He is survived by a son, Richard W. Nagle of Brockton; a sister, Mary Franey of Abington; many nieces and nephews; and his brother in laws, Leslie Greenleaf of Abington and Albert Davidaitis of Avon. He was the brother of the late Grattan Nagle and Patricia Greenleaf. Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Chapel of Our Savior, 475 Westgate Drive, Brockton, MA 02301.
