Mr. Zarrella,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served as a U.S. Navy Corpsman attached to Company E, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, of the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam. God know how many Marines' lives you probably saved. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I worked with Phil for a number of years at Northern Nevada Medical Center. We had both moved on to different jobs, but I knew Phil to be one of the most decent people on this Earth. He exemplified in so many ways the "fruits of the Spirit" that Paul talks about in Galations: "Love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." I know he rests in the arms of our loving Lord. God Bless to you and all your family. We loved you, Phil.

Phillip was one of the greatest respiratory care practioners-full of compassion, kindness and humor. He was highly respected in his field. He would often stop by our office to have lunch with my co-worker Duayne. Please accept my sincere sympathy to all of the family. God Bless you.

Twila and Girls - Phil was truly a gift from God. He had a heart of gold, a shoulder to share others burdens and a laugh that could make the whole world right. Thank you all for sharing Phil with us. He will be missed but never forgotten. We love you all. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

My sympathies are with Phil's family. I remember him repeatedly speaking of Twila and his daughters. His love for them was so evident.
As a collegue, I can tell you that the Respiratory Care community has lost a great example of professionalism. I will miss his guidance, his calm demeanor, and that great laugh of his!
Rest in peace my friend!
As he use to say to me when leaving work... Semper Fi
