John Green Obituary

Plymouth John B. Green, of Plymouth, formerly of Milton, died July 23. He was the beloved husband of Theresa E. (Kearney) Green; brother of Rohda Weingarten of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother-in-law of Mary Keneavy of West Roxbury, John Kearney of Attleboro, Joan Purcell of Franklin, Kathy Tomaielly of Florida, Phyllis Keneavy of Milton and Kevin Kearney of Warwick, R.I. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born and educated in Haggerstown , Md., a son of the late Albert and Gladys Green, he raised and raced greyhounds for many years. He served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a chief petty officer and worked 22 years at Cambridge Electric. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Top 3 and had lived in Plymouth the past 20 years, coming from Milton. Funeral from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Plymouth, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday from 4-7 p.m. only. Burial in St. Josephs Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Assn., 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991.
