Judith C. Sime

Kingston Judith C. Sime, of Kingston, died July 24, 2008. She was 66 years old. Judith was raised in Pembroke and was a graduate of Silver Lake High School, Class of 1960. She went on to attend Bridgewater State College, where she earned her master's degree. Following her graduation from Bridgewater State, Judith worked as a librarian at MIT, the University of California, Berkley and at Norwell Senior High School. She also taught school for two years in Tela, Honduras. Judith lived in Miami for 20 years, and while there, she was a librarian at the Miami Country Day School. She most recently was a librarian at the Duxbury Public Library. Judith was also a deacon at the First Church in Pembroke. Judith was a daughter of Dorothy Sime of Kingston and the late Brian A. Sime Sr.; sister of Brian A. Sime Jr. of Pembroke; niece of Jeanne Fay of Whitman. A funeral service will be held at the First Church in Pembroke Tuesday, July 29, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
