Eleanor Glennie Obituary

Easton Eleanor M. (Anderson) Glennie, of Easton, passed away at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, Monday, July 28, 2008, after a long illness. She was 78. Born in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School and also graduated from New England Deaconess Nursing School with a degree in nursing. She was employed by several hospitals in the area and she worked for the Red Cross as a registered nurse for many years. She was the devoted wife of the late Rev. Edward H. Glennie, a congregational minister, and shared in his ministry in Maine, Massachusetts and Florida. She was a beloved daughter of the late Frank and Corinne (Forsberg) Anderson; loving mother of Karen E. Sprague and her husband William of Easton, Mark E. Glennie and his wife Rose of Standish, Maine, Daniel P. Glennie and his wife Jamie of Groton and David A. Glennie and his wife Laxmi of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sister of Phyllis Anderson of North Easton and the late Richard Anderson of Florida. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., North Easton, Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. Visiting will be held in the Chapel one hour before service. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., North Easton, MA 02356.
