Richard Allen Obituary

East Bridgewater Richard F. Dick Allen, 72, formerly of Whitman, died August 2, in Brigham & Womens Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Stafford) Allen. Born in Quincy, he was a son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Young) Allan. Dick served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1955. He worked for Micro Tool of Pembroke for 10 years and was a resident of Whitman for 18 years before his move to East Bridgewater 12 years ago. He was a very active and founding member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Hanson where he also served as the assistant treasurer. He loved gardening and reading. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Kevin Allen of Greenville, S.C.; his daughters, Karen Lutsko of Towanda, Pa., Lisa Vinsen and Heidi Denis, both of Clearwater, Fla.; his brother, John Allen of Seattle; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Arthur Allen. His services will be held Wednesday, August 6, at 11 a.m., in the Calvary Baptist Church of Hanson. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, August 5, from 4-8 p.m. Donations may be made in his name to the Mission Program of the Calvary Baptist Church, 529 Monponsett St., Hanson, MA 02341. Dear Grandma Judy,
I'm sorry to hear of grandpa allen's passing. But I do know he is in good hands in the grace of God. He lived a good and respectful life. I only wish we had gotten more chances to be with you guys more often. Grandpa was loved and will be missed.

Rick and I are so sorry to see that Dick has gone home to be with the Lord. Praise the Lord he is with the Lord,walking with Him and talking with Him. There is no more pain, sickness, and he is breathing new air. We have wonderful memories of the fun times at Calvary with you and Dick.
