Ann Ulich Obituary

Ormond Beach, Fla. Ann A. Ulich, 75, of Ormond Beach, formerly of Middleboro, Mass., died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass., after a short illness. A daughter of the late Irving M. and Mildred A. (Whitney) Atwood, she was born in Newton, Mass., Sept. 17, 1932. She was raised and educated in Newton and was a graduate of Wheelock College and received a master's degree from Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Ulich had been employed as a special needs teacher at the former Lakeville Hospital, also known as the Mass Hospital School. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, taught night school in Middleboro and had traveled to all 50 states with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Sigismund M. Ulich; three sons, Dennis M. Wright of Glendale, Calif., Carl S. Ulich of Middleboro and Ronald D. Ulich of Duxbury, Mass.; two daughters, Shirley A. Lewis of Columbia, S.C., and Anita L. Sullivan of Duxbury; and nine grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Kelly. Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, Thursday, from 11-12:45, followed by a service in the funeral home at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
