Jerilynn Yannone Obituary

Halifax Jerilynn L. (Carr) Yannone, 65, of Halifax, died Aug. 12, 2008, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Robert E. and Helen J. (Drew) Carr and was raised and educated in Rockland. She was a graduate of Rockland High School and later received nursing training at the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and Massasoit Community College. Mrs. Yannone had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton for many years and at the time of her retirement in 2001, was employed as a registered nurse at the Colony House Nursing Home in Abington. Jerilynn enjoyed knitting, sewing and bowling. She is survived by her children, Pamela J. Yannone and her friend Richard Bersani of Brockton, Kenneth J. Yannone Jr. of New Hampshire, Richard A. Yannone and his wife Teresa of Foxboro, Roberta L. McCarthy and her friend Matthew Delaney of Brockton and John T. Yannone and his wife Robyn of Lynnfield. She was the sister of Richard Carr of Maine, Barbara Ingalls of Plympton, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick of Florida and Judith Carr of Halifax. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Paul Murphy of Plympton. A funeral will be held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland, Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Visiting will be from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service.
