Wesley A. Nickerson

Plymouth Wesley A. Nickerson, of Plymouth, formerly of Pembroke, passed away Aug. 12, 2008, at Jordan Hospital. Wesley was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Bettina (Wadsworth) Nickerson. He is survived by his three children, Joel Nickerson, Melodie Breen and Scott Nickerson, all of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Elise Nickerson, Christopher Breen, Joseph Nickerson, Matthew Nickerson, Benjamin Breen, Alicia Nickerson; and one great-grandson, Joseph Nickerson. Wesley was born and raised in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1941. Member of the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946, he was a master electrician and was employed by Brockton Edison/Eastern Edison from 1954-1988. Wesley was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years and a Freemason. He moved to Pembroke to raise his family to then returned to Plymouth in 1985. He enjoyed walking around the Plymouth area and greatly enjoyed his family and friends. Memorial calling hours will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, from 1-4 p.m. Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston. Memorial service to follow at 4 p.m., beginning with a special ceremony conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodge.
