David Nourse Obituary

Middleboro David Cushing Nourse, age 52 years, of Middleboro, died unexpectedly due to a heart attack, Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Wall, S.D., while on his dream vacation to the Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota. He was the loving husband of Debra A. (DeFreitas) Nourse of 19 years. Born Sunday, January 22, 1956, in Middleboro, he was a son of Anna (Cushing) Nourse of Middleboro and the late Fred Nourse. David was a graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School in Taunton, and had been a life long resident of Middleboro. He worked for Morton Buildings for 15 years as a sales consultant and was a master carpenter. He was a motor cycle enthuses, an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing his guitar, horseback riding, wood carving, fishing, animals, the cottage at Sandy Neck Beach and most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Daniel Alfred Nourse of Middleboro; two stepchildren, Cynthia Marie Finch and her husband George of New Hampshire and Richard Silva Frade Jr. of New Bedford; two sisters, Judy Butler and her husband Dennis of Middleboro and Gail Bernier of Middleboro; two sisters-in-law, Doreen DeFreitas of New Bedford and Karen Blier and her husband Leo of Acushnet; and many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved so very much and his dog Madison. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 10 a.m. in Central Congregational Church in Middleboro center. Interment will follow in Central Cemetery in Middleboro. Visitation will take place Wednesday, August 20, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Families Welfare, c/o Debra A. Nourse, 43 France St., Middleboro, MA 02346 or to the American Heart Association.
