Edna Davenport Obituary

East Bridgewater Edna M. Davenport, 95, lifelong resident of East Bridgewater, died Monday, Aug. 25, after a period of failing health. Born and raised in East Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Condon) Davenport and a graduate of East Bridgewater High School. Edna worked as a nursing assistant in nursing homes before retiring in 1990. She is survived by her sisters, Pat Wile of East Bridgewater and Mary Paiva of New Hampshire; her nieces, Donna Sampson of East Bridgewater and Jeanne Lundin of Arizona; and her nephew, Donald Sampson of Hanson. Her services will be held Thursday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9-10 a.m. For online condolences and directions, visit www.blanchardfc.com.
