Shirley Boulter Obituary

Pembroke Shirley M. (Young) Boulter, 63, a lifelong resident of Pembroke, died Aug. 27, at Quincy Medical Center, after a long illness. She was a beloved daughter of the late Roger A. and Rosetta A. (Logue) Young. She attended Pembroke schools, graduating from Silver Lake Regional High School and she attended Massasoit Community College. She was employed many years for Factory Paint Stores in Pembroke and also for State Street Bank in Quincy. Her interests included traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, and in her earlier years, tennis. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and watching her grandchildren grow. Affectionately known by her five grandchildren as "Meme" or "Grammy", she was the loving mother of Willard J. Boulter III and his wife Michelle of Pembroke and James A. Boulter and his wife Laurie of Pembroke; sister of Roger A. Young Jr. of Abilene, Kan., Gary A. Young of Hanover, Susan Arruda of Kingston and the late Robert A. Young; close friend, Fr. Ralph Haddix of West Milwaukee, Wis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke, Saturday, Aug. 30, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson, at 10 a.m. Interment in Magoun Cemetery, Pembroke. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of Mass., 460 Totten Pond Rd., Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451. No words can ever express how truly sorry we are for the loss of your mom. We are never prepared for such a loss but thank god she is out of pain now. She was a beautiful person here on earth and she is now a beautiful angel looking over you.
