Evelyn C. Costello

Wareham Evelyn C. (Lawson) Costello, 96, of Wareham, formerly of North Easton and Norwood, died Aug. 26, 2008. She was the widow of Andrew F. Costello; mother of Nancy Spindler of Dartmouth, Andrew of Wareham and Robert of Portland, Ore.; sister of retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Harry A. Lawson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandmother of Terrence Costello of Somerville, Douglas Costello of Austin, Texas, Chelsea Spindler of New York City, Kyla Spindler of Dartmouth, Hopi Costello of Portland, Ore., and Freya Solray of Chapel Hill, N.C. Also survived by several nephews and nieces. A service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairhaven. Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat St., Amercus, GA 31909.
