George Demulis Obituary

Brockton George E. DeMulis Jr., 57 years, of Brockton, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident July 3. He was born in Brockton, a son of the late Mary E. (Mann) and George E. DeMulis Sr. Mr. DeMulis had been a lifelong resident of the city and a 1969 graduate of Southeastern Regional High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. Before his disability, he was employed at the Brockton Hospital, Painting Dept. Previously he had worked for many years at Barbour Welt. He was an avid bowler at Maple Alleys, enjoyed following all Boston sports teams and had been a member of Caffrey Towers Tenants Association. He is survived by two sons, Michael and Mark DeMulis, both of Brockton; three grandchildren, Amber, Danielle and Kyle; five sisters and three brothers, Barbara Bruni and her husband Peter of Taunton; Diane Campbell and her husband Jack of Brockton; Michael DeMulis and his fiance Deb Bates of Bourne; Debra Ireland and her husband Hilly of Brockton; Patricia Clark and her husband Gene of Middleboro, Linda Isgur of Ft. Myers, Fla., Robert DeMulis and his wife Mary and David DeMulis and his fiance Joanne Pyne, both of Brockton; and many nieces and nephews. George was the godfather of Lori Grant and Nicole Perrault; longtime companion of Dawn George and her children, Alicia and Dalton and grandchildren, Alicyanah and Cheyenne. Funeral service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte.123), Brockton, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:45 p.m. Visiting hours, Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to the MSPCA, 1300 West Elm Street Extension, Brockton, MA 02301.
