Barbara Bayle Obituary

TAUNTON Barbara J. (McMann) Bayle, of this city, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Taunton Nursing Home following a five month illness. She was the wife of the late Edward Bayle. She was born 80 years ago in Dighton, a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth (Martin) McMann. She was educated in Taunton, was a graduate of the former St. Marys High School and had been a city resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in the packing department of L.G. Balfour in Attleboro for five years. She had previously been employed as a file clerk for Reed and Barton Silversmiths for 30 years. She was a member of the Oakland Grange, the Legion of Mary and the Quarter Century Club of Reed and Barton. Mrs. Bayle was active in the Girl Scouts of America. She was a communicant of St. Pauls Church. She leaves two nephews, David and William Bayle; her dear friends, Andrea Proulx and her husband Henry of Taunton; and several cousins. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Pauls Church, 261 Tremont St., today, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours were omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
