Dorothy M. Olson BROCKTON Dorothy M. (Whitman) Olson, age 84 years, passed away Tuesday, at her home, following a brief illness. She was the former wife of the late Kenneth Olson. Dorothy was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Patterson) Whitman and a lifelong resident of the city of Brockton. She was employed at the former Goddard Park Medical in Brockton and Easton for over 20 years, from which she retired. She enjoyed water aerobics at the Old Colony YMCA in Easton and also liked playing bingo, reading, sewing and baking. She is survived by her children, Jane F. Ryan of Wilton, N.H., Jack W. Olson and wife Jean of Easton and Jill M. Olson of Manchester; three grandchildren, Michael Ryan, Kelly Ryan and Elizabeth Olson; and two nieces, Dorothy Allen and Virginia Doherty. A sister, Frances Mosher, preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow the service in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
