Alice Esposito Obituary

BROCKTON Alice M. (Perry) Esposito, 78, of Brockton, formerly of Hyde Park, died Sept. 26 in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, after a period of failing health. She was born and raised in South Boston, daughter of the late John and Mary (Thomas) Perry. Alice was a resident of Hyde Park most of her life until moving to Brockton eight years ago. She worked for Stop & Shop for more than 30 years as a food preparer and in her early years, she worked at the famous Blinstrubs Restaurant in South Boston as a coat clerk. Alice was a commissary in Hyde Park and enjoyed going on trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas. Alice leaves her son, Edwin J. Esposito and his wife Cynthia of Whitman; her granddaughter, Michelle Clifford and her husband Matthew of Whitman; her brother, Constant Perry of Bridgewater; also several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Albert, George, Casper, Joseph and John Perry, Anna Daley, Julia Delaney and Rose Vierbickas. Her services will be held Tuesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman. Burial will be at a later date in the New Calvary Cemetery, in Mattapan, MA. Visiting hours will be held two hours prior to the service from 5-7 p.m. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Suite 301, Brockton, MA 02301.
