Wayne Goddard Obituary

MANCHESTER, N.H. Wayne C. Goddard, 61, of Manchester, died Aug. 20, 2008, at his home. He was born May 12, 1947, in Brockton, Mass., a son of the late William W. and Kathleen (Daley) Goddard Jr. He was a graduate of Cony High School, Augusta, Maine, attended prep school at Maine Central Institute, completed one year at Thomas College, Waterville, Maine, and in 1993, graduated from Merrimack College with a business and human services degree. During his school years and following, his employment history included the IRS in Andover, 1968-1970, Hanscom Air Force Base communications, an INS agent for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Department, VA Hospital, Bedford, Mass., and for the Federal Government at the Dept. of Education in Washington, DC. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and was an avid reader who kept informed with local and Massachusetts news. Members of his family include his sister, Joan W. Livsey of Bow; and a niece, Meghan Delisle of Northfield. Inurnment with graveside committal services will be held for Wayne and his parents Kathleen and William Goddard Jr., Friday, 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Cary Street, Brockton. The Rev. Frank Cloherty of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church will officiate. Memorials may be sent to Catholic Charities, 686 North Main St., Brockton, MA 02301.
