David Maddigan Obituary

WAREHAM David James Maddigan Sr., age 68 years, of West Wareham, formerly of Middleboro, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at his home, unexpectedly. He was the husband of Rosalind A. (Hollis) Maddigan. He was born in Middleboro, son of the late James F. Jr. and Viola M. (Remillard) Maddigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Union laborer, in construction. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro, and the Bridgewater Citizens Club. Survivors include his wife, two sons, David J. Jr. and his wife Melinda Maddigan and Michael J. Maddigan, all of Middleboro; one brother, James F. Maddigan III of Poland Spring, Maine; one sister, Patricia G. Hogan of Carver; two grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Maddigan of Middleboro; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. A committal service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Friday at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory, to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
