Alfred J. Grande Sr. BRADENTON, Fla. Alfred John Grande Sr., 83, of Bradenton, formerly of Brockton, Mass., and Harwich, Mass., died Sept. 27, 2008, peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family, after a period of failing health. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Heelan) Grande; and his 10 children, Michael Grande of Florida, Maria Lallemand of Brockton, Patrick Grande of Florida, Joseph Grande of Chelmsford, Mass., Rose Green of Florida, Stephen Grande of Brockton, Mark Grande of Florida, Tina Pranskus of Brockton, Cindy Grande-Sprague of Florida, A. John Grande Jr. of Bridgewater, Mass., and their spouses; 28 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Angelo Grande, Rico Grande, Rose Grande and the late Louise, Agnes, Anthony and Joseph Grande of Rhode Island. He is also survived by Ethelmay (Cormier), the mother of his 10 children. Mr Grande was vice president of sales for Grimes & Hower and Salad House, Inc. He was the prior owner of Jimmys Market in Stoughton and owned several distributorships for Orange Crush and Bachman Snacks. Mr. Grande was a supporter of World Hunger and was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Bradenton. A funeral Mass will be held in Florida and a memorial Mass will be held at St. Anns Church in West Bridgewater, Mass., at a date to be announced. Donations may be made in his name to the Charity Guild in Brockton, feeding and clothing those less fortunate.
