Mr. Cavanaugh,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II as member of the YD-especially during the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Hi Gerry,
Sorry to learn of John's death. We are down at our daughter, Maureen's in NJ and I read of his death on the computer. I will not be home in MA in time to attend the funeral, but I wanted you to know that you and your families are in our thoughts. Love, Elinor

Hi Geraldine - I was so sorry to read of John's passing. He and Marjorie came to Dad's wake and I was so glad to see them. I'm in Vermont now so I don't get to hear much news but I do remember how (when I was just a little girl) he and Marjorie were so good to me. All my prayers.
