Joseph Anderson Obituary

Joseph H. Anderson EASTON Joseph H. Anderson, 80, of Easton, formerly Brockton and Bridgewater, died Monday evening, Sept. 29, at West Acres Nursing Home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Therese (Litto) Anderson. Born in Boston, Aug. 14, 1928, a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Walsh) Anderson, he was raised in Boston and was a graduate of Boston public schools. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II. Joseph was employed as a driver for the MBTA for 26 years. A resident of Easton for the past 17 years, he was a communicant of the Holy Cross Church. He was a member of the MBTA Carmens Union, enjoyed baseball and was a friend of the late Dick Radatz. He is survived by three sons, Joseph P. Anderson of Merrimack, N.H., Robert H. Anderson of Abington and James Michael Anderson of Taunton; a brother, William F. Anderson of California; and a sister, Mary Anderson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St. (Rte. 138), Easton, Friday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 p.m. Donations in Josephs memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
