Florence E. Barry-Morrell

HOLBROOK Florence E. (Hanifen) Barry-Morrell, of Holbrook, died Oct. 1, 2008, at the age of 86. Florence was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. She had lived in Holbrook for over 50 years. She was a nurse for the Holbrook school system, as well as Norfolk County Hospital. She was the school nurse at Holbrook Jr. High School for many years. Florence was a longtime member and past president of the Josephines. She was the wife of the late Everett E. Morrell and Laurence Barry; loving mother of Laurence Barry and his wife Jeanette of North Attleboro and Lisa Barry of Holbrook; stepmother of Richard Morrell of Stoneham, Cheryl Skahan of Plymouth, Pamela Wing of Lakeville and Wayne Morrell of Arlington; devoted sister of Jeanette MacDonald of Quincy, James Hanifen of Nova Scotia and the late Marguerite Fell; dear grandmother of Michael Barry of North Attleboro. Also survived by 11 step-grandchildren; and four step-great- grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin St. (Rte. 37), Holbrook, until 8:15 a.m. Monday, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 p.m. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
