In Loving Memory of Herbert A. Vining Jr.

A light is from our household gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled
God gave us a beautiful father-
A father who never grew old.
You were always there with a helping hand
Help us know to accept His plan
We miss you now, our hearts are sore...As time goes by we miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face. No one can fill your vacant place. May choirs of angels receive you and may you have peace and rest everlasting. Amen
Your loving daughter and son,
Mary Ellen & Allen

We were sad to hear about your dad. All of you were always in every conversation we've ever had with him. Your mom & dad always had a story (usually funny) about all the times spent with all of you, and their lives are so full and complete because of you. They are still enjoying & watching all of you with loving eyes as they always did...
Love,Marilynn Richie & Lauren

Grampy - I'm sorry you died and it's good that you're with Nana. I am sad and I really am unhappy that you're not here. I'm glad you're an angel but don't worry that I can't see you but I know you see me. Grampy I really love you.

Dear MaryEllen and Bill, and Alan, and all your family.

I am so sorry to hear that Herbie has died. My mom, Evelyn, was very fond of him and loved how wonderful he was to her niece, your mom, Doris. His example as a soldier, as a husband, as a father, and in all the many roles he played in the lives of all of us will stay with me. No matter what happened, he never ever complained. He was a great man.

Dear Maryellen, Bill, Allen, Taylor, Alyssa, Corey,
We are so sorry for your loss, it is by far one of hardest things to endure, losing a parent. Your parents were the most loving parents, and I will always remember them, for years to come. God bless you and your family at this time.

Mr. Vining,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then in the "Old Corps" that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
