William Fournier Obituary

William Fournier RAYNHAM William W. Bill Fournier, age 77 years of St. George, Maine, formerly of Raynham, died November 2, 2008 at the Knox Center in Rockland, Maine, after a battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Barbara M. (Young) Fournier. Born August 9, 1931 in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Hazel (Harrington) Fournier. Bill graduated from high school in 1949 and was a long time resident of Raynham and had lived in St. George, Maine for the past several years. He worked as a manager for several clothing stores in the area. He also worked at Shreve Crump and Low in Boston and before retiring worked at Jouberts Clothing in Whitman. He enjoyed the Boston Red Soxs, the New England Patriots and vacationing in Vermont. He was affiliated with the Thomaston Baptist Church in Maine and the First Baptist Church in Brockton. In addition to his wife Barbara; he is survived by three sons, Paul L. Fournier and his wife Ruth of Delaware, Joseph Fournier and his wife Cheryl of Taunton and Michael G. Fournier of East Bridgewater; a daughter Karen Elliott and her husband Peter of Maine; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a twin brother Roy Fournier and his wife Irene of Medway, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of the late Sarah J. (Caizzi) Fournier. A funeral service will be held on Sat., November 8, 2008 at 10 a.m., in the First Baptist Church, corner of Bouve and Forest Ave. in Brockton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. Visitation will take place on Fri., November 7, 2008 from 4-8 p.m., in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA. Karen, Joe, Mike and Paul,

So sorry to hear about your dad, he was an amazing man who we have missed for the past few years. I am so glad that I got to speak with him at great lengths not that long ago and to know that he truly missed us as well. I know that Dennis enjoyed that daily after work beverage with him after your mom passed. We have shared many memories over the past 30+ years with your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
