Francis Gunville Obituary

ROCKLAND Francis W. Fran Gunville, 77, of Rockland, formerly of So. Weymouth, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. The son of the late Francis D. and Amelia (Silvia) Gunville, he was born in Cohasset on July 8, 1931. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth, Worcester State College and received a masters degree from Bridgewater State College. Mr. Gunville served in the Army and was later employed as a Teacher and Guidance Councilor in Weymouth Schools. He was a member of MTA and NEA. He is survived by his wife, Lucille C. (LaPointe) Gunville, five children, Theresa Sullivan of Langdon, N.H., Francis P. Gunville of Rockland, Jeannine A. Rutherford of Carver, Andrew J. Gunville of Rockland and Suzanne C. Rouvalis of Marshfield; one brother, Robert Gunville of Florida; and four grandchildren, Herrick, Joshua and Liam Sullivan and Sara Rose Gunville. He was the brother of the late Richard Gunville. Funeral Mass Monday, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St., in Rockland. Interment in Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset.
