Thomas H. Gordon

AVON Thomas H. Tom Gordon, 69, of Avon, formerly of Norwood, died Nov. 9, 2008. Tom was born in Norwood and lived in Norwood for many years before moving to Avon. Tom was a retired foreman for Bird and Son Certainteed of Norwood and served as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Bay State Beamers, American Legion Post, Randolph, VFW Post Avon and the Voiture National 40/8. He was the husband of the late Judith (Ryan) Gordon; beloved companion for 24 years of Anne Rezendes of Avon; loving father of Scott Gordon and his wife Tricia of Medfield, Sheryl Carafa and her husband Nicholas of Mansfield, Wayne Gordon of Norwood, Wendy Frazetti and her husband Derek of Attleboro, Donna Rezendes of Avon, Cheryl and Alan Fraser of Northborough and Martin and Nancy Rezendes of Lakeville; dear grandfather of Sean Gordon of Medfield, Nickolas, Matthew, Rachel and Sara Carafa of Mansfield, Michael and Olivia Frazetti of Attleboro and Hannah and Krystal Rezendes of Lakeville; son of the late Edward J. and Sarah J. (Benson) Gordon; brother of the late Edward J. Buddy Gordon. Also survived by his pets, Annie, Bryer, Hunter and Cocoa. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, until 9:15 a.m., Thursday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Michael Church, Avon.
