Ruth Grigas Obituary

BOURNE Ruth A. (McCarthy) Grigas, 99, died at Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Bourne, Thursday, Nov. 13. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton schools. She was a resident of Bourne for several years after living in Stoughton for 70 years and Florida for 20 years. Mrs. Grigas was a clerk for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., in Norwood, for 10 years, before retiring at age 65. She also volunteered at a hospital in Florida and enjoyed bowling in a league in Florida. A wonderful homemaker and mother, Mrs. Grigas is survived by her children, Ruth Stark and Barbara Pickett, both of Florida, Mary Hope Plunkett of Arizona and Richard Grace of Wareham. She is also survived by her caring daughter-in-law and friend, Pat Grace; as well as 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Sheila Derosier and Ralph Grace. Visiting hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Sunday, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service will be private. Directions and obituary at www.farleyfh.com.
