Zelinda Mendes Obituary

BROCKTON Zelinda Santos Mendes, 97, of Brockton, died Nov. 14, 2008. She was the wife of the late Manuel Mendes; mother of Alberto Mendes of Brockton, Arnold Mendes of California, John Mendes of Brockton, Idial Mendes of Bridgewater, Daniel Mendes of East Bridgewater, Havana Depina of Boston, Dulcilia Graham of Brockton and Maria Depina of Brockton; her sisters, Angela Fernandes of Brockton and Benvinda DePina of Cape Verde. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
