Gertrude ONeill Obituary

MIDDLEBORO Gertrude E. (Davis) ONeill, 90, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, in Brockton, Tuesday, Nov. 25. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. ONeill. Daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary J. (McNicholas) Davis, she was born and educated in Boston. She resided in Stoughton for 45 years before living in Middleboro for the past three years. Mrs. ONeill was a housewife, an avid bingo player and was a member of the AMVETS in Roxbury. Mrs. ONeill is survived by her children, Joseph T. ONeill Jr. of Portsmouth, N.H., Francis G. ONeill and Trudy E. ONeill, both of Middleboro, Richard J. ONeill of Attleboro and Kathleen M. Marinelli of Stoughton; as well as her brother, Francis Davis of Nevada. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin ONeill, and six brothers and four sisters. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Monday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Stoughton.
