Helen Caswell Obituary

MIDDLEBORO Helen Craig Caswell, age 88 years, of Middleboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her home, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George W. Caswell, who predeceased her June 25, 1986. She was born in Red Rapids, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Arthur P. and Gladys L. (Demmings) Craig. A 1938 graduate of Middleboro High School, she was a school secretary for the town of Middleboro, and later, for the town of Bridgewater, retiring in 1982. Mrs. Caswell was a member of the North Congregational Church, Middleboro. She enjoyed traveling, camping and family histories. Survivors include one son, William A. and his wife Angela Caswell of Middleboro; one daughter, Judith L. Morris of Middleboro; two brothers, E. Arthur Craig and Ronald H. Craig, both of Middleboro; one sister, Ruth A. Moore of Maryville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Debra Brule, Cheryl Brule, Terri Younie, Michelle Morrison, Michele Ewing, William, Joseph, Christian and Grace Caswell; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was sister of the late Doris Craig Allison. Funeral service will be held in the North Congregational Church, 38 Plymouth St., Middleboro, Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held in the Egger Funeral Home, 61 Pearl St., Middleboro, Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial will take place in Titicut Parish Cemetery, Middleboro.
