Owen McCarthy Obituary

RANDOLPH Owen F. Healey, 77 years, of Randolph, died Nov. 20, 2008. Owen was born in Springfield and had been a resident of Randolph for over 40 years. He was a retired custodian for Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Owen was a former South Randolph Little League coach and Boy Scout troop leader. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was the beloved husband of Lois P. (Coakley) McCarthy; loving father of Carol Comeau of Maine, Wayne McCarthy of Florida, Owen McCarthy Jr. of Cape Cod, Michael McCarthy and David McCarthy, both of Randolph, and Patricia Dumas of Brockton; devoted brother of James McCarthy of Sara- sota, Fla., Pauline McCarthy of Northampton and the late Mary, Daniel and Edward McCarthy. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, until 9:15, Monday, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 211 North Main St., Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, 4-8 p.m. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
