My name is Jessica and I met Joan a few years back when I was working at the doctor's office that she visited. I still remember the first day I met her, all the other girls at work told me that "Nana" was coming in and that she was their favorite patient. It didn't take long for me to understand why. She was the kind of person that made you feel instantly comfortable and already her friend. Her sense of humor was one in a million. I saw her probably 4 times in the time I worked there and we exchanged emails for the next year after that. She is someone that I will never forget, she left a lasting impression on my heart. I am so deeply saddened that she is gone but I will continue to think of her and smile.
