Wilhelmina Aiken Obituary

Wilhelmina L. Aiken RANDOLPH Wilhelmina L. Aiken, passed away peacefully, Dec. 1, 2008, at Cedar Hill Health Care Center, in Randolph. She was born Sept. 5, 1930, to the late Benjamin and Inez Aiken, in Philadelphia. As a young woman, she relocated to Cleveland, where she became a longtime resident. She soon found a church home and became an active, beloved member of Grace Temple Church of God In Christ, where she served faithfully for over 40 years. Employed for many years by the Cuyahoga Community Welfare Department, she still found time to volunteer with several community and civic organizations. In her spare time she loved to bake and would often spend long hours in the kitchen with her children. After a prolonged illness, she was moved to Massachusetts to be near her family. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Peterson; son, LeShon Aiken; three grandchildren, Nigel Peterson, Shanice and Jordan Aiken; and one great-grandchild, Isaiah Peterson; as well as a host of family and friends, who will mourn her passing. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5 : 1 Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 South Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph.
