Nicholas Tasho Obituary

BROCKTON Nicholas Tasho, 85 years, of Brockton, died Dec. 8, 2008. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Kolunie) Tasho; father of Diane Prince and her husband Stephen of Brockton, Peter Tasho and his wife Jeannine of Easton and David Tasho and his wife Ellen of Bridgewater; brother of Sotir (Sam) Tasho and his wife Helen; brother-in-law of John and Sophie Kolunie of Wareham. He was loving grandfather to Alexandra Prince, Christina, Marissa and Brittany Tasho, Jason and Jamie Linde, and Benjamin, Julia and William Tasho. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Saturday, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Friday, 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place, West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02347, or the Make a Wish Foundation, 1 Bullfinch Place, Boston, MA 02114. I was saddened to hear the news of the passing of Nick. I thought about him often during his illness and enjoyed stopping over to see him. I wish i could be at home to honor him properly. Diane, Peter and David,

My condolences to you all with the loss of your father. I will always fondly remember Nick. I always got a kick out of how he would silently walk up to me, jut out his hand for a shake, and ask me what kind of trouble I had been up to lately. He was definitely an institution in Brockton and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Great guy.

I cannot begin to say how much I respected and will mis Nick. I would see him from time to time at a family afqair or at a resturant in Boston with Millie. He always was up on currents sports and was a wealth of knowledge. I will miss him.
