Barbara Cody Obituary

FRANKLIN Barbara Anne (Kelly) Cody, passed away Dec. 11, 2008, at Briarwood Health Care in Needham. She was 83 years old. Born and raised in Rockland, she had lived many years in Hingham and Abington before moving to Franklin six years ago. Barbara was a former mem-ber of Mother of Twins Club of South Shore and Ladies Sodality at St. Bridgets Church in Abington. She also enjoyed traveling and bowling. Barbara was a former data processor for Mass Bonding and Insurance Company. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard T. Cody; mother of Sheila and her husband John Peterson of Foxboro, Kevin and his wife Donna Cody of Lemont, Ill., Maureen Cody of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Lianne and her husband Robert Wade of Medfield and the late Brian Cody; sister of Joseph Kelly of West Dennis, Jack Kelly of Duxbury and the late Edward Kelly and Gertrude Currie. Also survived by eight grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral from the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), Monday, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Family Church, Rockland, at 9 Oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-5 p.m. Donations in Barbaras memory may be made to the South Shore Regional School District Leonard T.
