Richard St. Jean Obituary

NORTH PORT, Fla. Richard Paul St. Jean, 75, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, in his North Port, Fla. home. He was the beloved husband of Joyce. Born June 22, 1933, in Dorchester, Mass., he was a son of the late Raymond and Viola (Gagnon) St. Jean. He served his country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Rick retired from A.W. Chesterton Company of Massachusetts. He was a high level manager and executive for most of his 33 year career. He was recognized globally for his outstanding sales talent and training ability that contributed to many within the organization, throughout his tenure. He was also known for his pioneering work in the U.S. nuclear power industry. Rick dearly loved his family and his business associates were his very close friends. In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by his children, Victoria Hyde and her husband Burt of North Carolina, Vance St. Jean and his wife Julie of Texas and Ritchie St. Jean of Kentucky; his four grandchildren, Nicole St. Jean Perry, Christopher St. Jean, Angela Carroll and Alexis St. Jean; and his siblings, Raymond St Jean, Robert St. Jean and his wife Rita, Ronald St. Jean and his wife Honey, Barbara Noone and her husband Robert, Marilyn McPhail and Frances Damon and her husband Frederick, all of Massachusetts. He is also survived by many nieces; nephews; and his in-laws, the Dorothy Ulrich family. His memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman, Mass. Mr. St. Jean,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Cold War. Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
