June L. Moore

Buzzards Bay June L. (Hollertz) Moore, age 80 years, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay. Born Saturday, February 23, 1929 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur V. and Jennie E. (Wallin) Hollertz. She was raised in North Easton, and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. She also graduated from the Williams School of Business. She retired from the Quincy Mutual Insurance Company. June was a long time member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was in the choir, and also a Sunday school teacher. June enjoyed playing the piano, and she sang with the Cape Codders and The Harmonettes. She is survived by her daughter Robin E. Moore of Sandwich; her son-in-law Richard Messer of New York; her brother Rev. Warren Hollertz and his wife Anna of Pennsylvania; her sisters Beverly Iacampo and her husband Robert of Florida, and Natalie May of Marshfield. Her daughter Bonnie Moore-Messer predeceased her. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m., at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 900 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in South Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 48 p.m., at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA.
