Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. We worked with Scott for many years and were shocked to hear of his passing at such a young age. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Paiva family during your time of sorrow. I served in the USCG with Scott on Block Island in 1983-4. We recently held a reunion for those that served on Block Island this past Saturday and it was shortly after that reunion that we all heard that Scott had passed. Needless to say, we were all very shocked and saddened to hear of a fellow "Coastie" passing at such a young age. Please accept my heartfelt sadness for your loss.
