Mary McDonough Obituary

McDONOUGH Mary F. (Dignan) McDonough, of Marshfield, Aug. 28, 2007, 87 years; mother of John F. McDonough Jr. and his wife Joyce of Brockton, James M. McDonough and his wife Mary of Dorchester, and Brian J. McDonough and his wife Margaret of Quincy; grandmother of Jonathan, Matthew, Daniel, Emily, Mark, and Maureen; her sister, Catherine Tilley of Greenharbor; she is also survived by six great-grandchildren. She was also a sister of the late Francis Dignan. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rt. 123 Brockton), on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Patrick's Church, 335 Main St., Brockton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10 a.m. Interment will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory would be appreciated to the Alzheimers Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140. Brian, Jimmy, and John,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I know the feelings you have had over the last few years and those you are feeling now. Take solace in knowing her spirit is now free and she is at peace.
I'm thankful we had great Dorchester Mom's like yours and mine. They were a real treasure. I will always have good memories of both your Mom and Dad.
