Janet Litchfield Obituary

Janet Marie Litchfield Scituate Janet Marie (Williams) Litchfield, died at home in Scituate on October 7, 2007 at age 72 of abdominal cancer. Born in Weymouth she was raised in Braintree and graduated from Braintree H.S. in 1952, she lived in Weymouth for 6 years before moving to Scituate in 1969. Attended Forsyth School for dental hygienists and was a certified dental hygienist and worked in Weymouth, Scituate for 28 years and most recently, Quincy. Member of First Trinitarian Congregational Church, Scituate, for many years where she served luncheons for seniors and long time member of the Mission Board. Also a member of the Red Hat's Society. She enjoyed horseback riding, bike riding, movies, swimming and walking the beach. Loving wife of Marshall Litchfield, she is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Chubbuck of Scituate, a son, Alan W. Litchfield and his wife Sharon of Wayland, a sister, Patricia Ouren of Norway, 4 grandsons, Graham and Everett Chubbuck, Bradford A. and Grant W. Litchfield. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 19 at 11 a.m. in the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate, MA 02066. Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home 781-545-0196

Kim & Litch,
Jerry and I were so sad to hear about Janet's death. Janet was the first dental hygienist who didn't hurt me! We fondly remember watching Graham and Ryan's little league games with you as well as seeing her at the beach every summer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May your loving memories of Janet ease your pain.
