Claire Mandeville Obituary

Claire Yvonne Mandeville Wareham Claire Yvonne (Ouimet) Mandeville, 73, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, at her home in Wareham after a long illness. Born in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Emil and Yvonne B. (Myette) Ouimet. A graduate of Brockton High School and Newbury College, she summered in Wareham for many years before moving there in 1989. Mrs. Mandeville was also a previous resident of Easton and owned and operated her own interior design business, Interiors, Ltd. Mrs. Mandeville was a devoted and active parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham who also volunteered at His Land Retreat Center in Lakeville. She loved to travel and enjoyed her Tuesday Scrabble games with her friends. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Y. Reihl of Plymouth and Suzanne C. Mandeville of South Carver; a son, Stephen R. Mandeville of Sandwich; a brother, Richard Ouimet of Wareham; five grandchildren, Nicole Y. Reihl, Stephanie N. Savard and Brian, Erin and Kristine Mandeville; a great-granddaughter, Kendyl R. Savard. Visiting hours will be Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rte. 28), Wareham, from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral will be on Monday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High Street, Wareham, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
