Stanley Jurgelewicz Obituary

Stanley Jurgelewicz Middleboro Stanley Jurgelewicz, age 74 years, of Middleboro died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at New England Sinai Hospital, Stoughton, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Alayne Thomason, they had been together for 37 years. Born in Middleboro, son of the late John and Jusefa (Koslowska) Jurgelewicz. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a correction officer at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute, Bridgewater, for 15 years. He was retired from Alden Shoe Co., and worked at Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. during harvest season. He attended Sacred Heart Church, was a member of the Mitchell Memorial Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John J. Glass Post No. 2188. He enjoyed shuffleboard and enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Shane and his wife Tracy Jurgelewicz of Middleboro, Stephen Jurgelewicz of Lancaster, Calif.; one daughter, Stacy and her husband Captain Takashi Kagawa of Fort Bragg, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was father of the late Scott Jurgelewicz and brother of the late John Jurgens, Charles Jurgens, Joseph Gailes and Mary Sloan. A memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 340 Centre St., Middleboro, on Monday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro. Donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to the V.F.W. Post No. 2188, 30 Station St., Middleboro, MA 02346, would be appreciated. Dear Alayne and Stacey - Desiree saw Stan's death notice and passed the information on to me. I am very sorry for your loss.

I have many memories of Stanley, of the happy times he shared with Don and Sheila, and with Clarkie. I know they all cherished his friendship.

I can imagine them all being together now - and quite a time they would be having....

I hope this finds you both well and coping as best you can.
