Anthony Aloi Obituary

Anthony J. Aloi Brockton Anthony J. "Al" Aloi, 85, of Brockton, recently of Braintree, died on Oct. 15, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Born and raised in Cambridge, he resided in Boston and was employed at the U.S. Naval Shipyard and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in Brockton from 1949 until moving to Braintree in 2004 and was a retired Metropolitan Life Insurance agent. He was a member of ITAM Post 62. Always devoted to his family, he was the beloved husband of Ann F. (Urbano) Aloi for 58 years; loving father of Linda C. Dobbyn and her husband John Dobbyn of Canton and Marilyn Aloi Rivkin and her husband Atty. David W. Rivkin of New York City; proud grandfather of Christopher, Michael and Ryan Dobbyn and Jessica and Catherine Rivkin; uncle of many nieces and nephews; and brother of the late Frederick, Daniel and Louis Aloi and Rose Calabresi. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, and funeral Friday at 9 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home and funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
