To The Plante Family:
I only knew Susan from her being the receptionist at the Radiology Dept. while I was receiving treatment nine years ago. The second time I approached the desk she called me by name and pronounced my last name correctly. I was astonished as most everyone really garbles the name. I asked her how she knew to pronounce it so well and she said that her maiden name was Martinkevicz. Well, that explained that!
Susan always greeted me with a smile and gentle manner. I am sure that she saw many depressing sights but she never seemed to let them penetrate her calm and caring demeanor.

Your Mom was the kindest person, she would always know who my Dad was and said Hi Gig every time he went for treatment. God must have needed a special Receptionist in heaven!!!

Dear Al and family, My deepest sympathy for the tragic loss of your sweet wife and mother. I had the pleasure of Sue's friendship while working with her for many years at B.H. She would visit me with a daily list of Radiation Oncology patients for me to pre-register at the patient registration department. Sue never forgot my birthday, and we shared many happy times going to dinner and conversation, particularly about her family and how proud she was of all of you. May she rest peacefully; God bless you.

I am so sad about Sue's passing. We would go out a couple of times a year to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Sue was always so kind and thoughtful, and fun to be with. I will miss her,

Almost 20 years ago, I started Radiation Therapy at Brockton Hospital. I was 29 years old and quite petrified. Very often it was Susan's caring way that helped me get through the ordeal.
No doubt, over the years, I'm sure that she warmed the hearts of many, many patients just like me.
She will not be forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Susan was the first person I had contact with while arranging treatment for my father. The minute she heard my dad was Lithuanian she was happy and said he'd fit in just fine. My dad's spirits would be down but Susan would lift them up and he started telling her a joke every day he came in. She even baked him a Lithuanian dish called kugel. My heart broke when I heard that Susan had passed away. Susan was very dedicated to her work and the whole department she worked with are everyday heroes to me and my family.
Rest in Peace,
Robin Matchett and father Albert Davidaitis
