James Sullivan Obituary

James W. Sullivan Brockton James W. Sullivan, 57, of Brockton died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, after a long illness at Nemasket Nursing Home in Middleboro. Born Jan. 5, 1950, in Boston, he was a son of the late Bob and Mildred Sullivan. He was educated in the Avon and Brockton schools and went on to study art at the Massachusetts College of Art. Jim worked odd jobs over the years while pursuing his passion for painting and drawing. He received awards and recognition for his watercolor paintings at the Fuller Museum in Brockton. He was also a monthly contributor to the Clubhouse Newsletter in Brockton, where they used his pen and ink drawings for their cover page. He is survived by his brothers, Bob Sullivan of Carver, Mike Sullivan of Bridgewater, Neil Sullivan of Rockland, and Joe Sullivan of Georgia; and his sisters, Cathy Sullivan of Falmouth and Peggy Killea of Bridgewater. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Faith Baptist Church, 5 Wareham St., South Carver, on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allegiance Hospice, 67 Middle St., Suite 503, Lowell, MA 01852. www.shepherdfuneralhome.com.
